I have a '50 3600 and as far as the rear wheels go, just about any 8 lug wheel will fit as long as you dont run into shock/spring/bedside clearnce problems. I have had late model "rally" wheels from a 3/4 ton chevy on it without issues.
Now, onto the front wheels. I have found out through trial and error (read that as, "too much money and too many wheels")
that you can get away with using a wheel that doesnt have more than 3.5 inch back spacing. If you go more than that you'll run into problems clearing the steering arm. I am running 16x7 alum. mags (they came off a Ford 3/4 ton) . You may be able to go alot taller wheel and completely stay away from the steering arm, I havent had the money to try anything taller as of yet.
If you will browse through these you'll see the front wheels.
