I want to lower the rear end of my '65 Suburban 3", for better handling and looks. What I would like to know is do I need lowered shocks as well? I'm not going to C-notch the frame, just lowere the rear a little. Thanks Paul

If your just using blocks between trailing arms and axle, no you will not need lowered shocks, only if you change springs there by changing the overall compressed length.
