needing some feedback.i have completely rebuilt the rearend on this truck ,new axle,s new bearings new ring and pinon new eaton limited slip .after all of this i still have a whining noise in 3rd and 4th gear between 60&65 miles per hour at 70mph it goes away.the whining occurs loaded and unloaded.any thoughts or opinions will be considered other than turning up the radio.

I am no tech specialist but I just read a tech tip about filing the gears before putting them together helps reduce noise. The story was listed under rebuilding a 12 bolt rear end. Check it out.

something is not right in the bearing preload, the pinion depth.. or the gear lash..

perhaps this would help...   you will probably want to open it in a new window to see it all..
