just bought a "350" so i was told here are the numbers that came off the block
off the back of the block
855909
B2 78
T7
00NV2
off the front of the block
16B575153
T0428CPB
i have checked all numbers and letters several times and i know the one off the block are vin and id numbers but can't find out what the engine suffix is "CPB" means. Could someone help me verify what i have. thank you for your time

The great thing about the web is just about any question asked an answere can be found. I looked at several search results and it comes back as a 305cid from about the 1976 era.
Code-- Year-- CID-- Vehicle---- HP-- RPO-- Trans-- Carb
CPB---- 76--- 305-- Nova----- 140-- LG3-- TH350-- 2-Brl

I'm sure a code book would detail more about the CPB designation. Probably a plant code. Good luck!
