I'm looking for some help. I'm looking into a 1956 f250 pick up. My dad has always wanted a classic truck and my brother and I are thinking about this one. The story from the seller is that is was originally owned by the electric company and then was left in a garage for years. The body and interior look great. I can't see any rust or bondo but the truck has been repainted. He says the engine and transmission are original, haven't been rebuilt and has only 46,000 miles. It runs and drives great. He is asking $5000 for it. I know it isn't as collectable as an f1 or f100. How should I go about verifying the milage and if the engine and tranny are original. Does anyone have any advice about what I should be looking for? Thanks for your help. I'm really hoping this truck is what he says it is.
