I have a 64 chevy k10 4x4 I am restoring it with my son for my son when he turns 16. I want to make it easier to drive and handle for him. I know there are all kinds of kits for two wheeldrive trucks but nothing for 4x4. I want to install something safe and reliable. The truck has the original axles and divorced transfer case. If anyone has done this and you have a formula for how you did it and what parts you used would be great. Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome. You can try Brothers Trucks or maybe pickup a copy of 4-Wheel Off Road magazine and scan though there ad index and see what pops up.

I manufactured a mounting plate between the box & frame and installed a used P/S off of a 1971 Suburban 4 wheel drive, also shortened steering shaft from cab.
