77 to 85 chevy 3/4 ton

hello, my son just bought a 77 3/4 ton chevy that had an 85 body installed over it. hes having a few problems. the wire to the fuel sender is missing, theres a tan wire hanging under the truck thats cut off. would it be the wire to the sender? does it go to the stud i can see between the bed and cab? if so can i buy a new connector to go onto the stud? 2nd. he got a radio im thinking from the 85 but the wiring used in the trk is from the 77 , i see a connector loose that has a yellow-grey and blk wire but it wont connect to the newer radio? any ideas. also the newer fender isnt cut out for an antenna and the windshield doesnt have one do i have to take off a fender to install an antenna. thanks for any help.
