I'm trying to fine the year and model car my rear housing came out of. The sites I have looked at tell me it was built E/12/3 meaning May 12 1973. I'm not even sure about the 3 being 1973 other than I'm thinking it came out of a 73 camaro. Ring gear numbers are 39848151541573, Front of pumpkin housing is 1235542B, axle tube front passenger side reads JA G136 3, this is the number that would tell what it came out of but I can't fine it. Thanks Steve

Steve - Not sure if you found your answer yet, but I have a Camaro book with codes, and this one isn't in it (no JA code listed).  However, after some web searching see the following link, and looks like your rear-end is an open rear end out of a 73-75 Nova.  Find JA quite aways down the page here: http://www.novaresource.org/axle.htm
Good Luck, roomor
