56 chevy truck roof to windshield rust

Little help ? My truck has rust at the upper windshield, I already have the inner roof panel, I was looking for the roof to windshield panel for the outside.Anybody make this panel ? Mike  

i have a 57 chevy with same problem, i;ve not found anyone who makes this part, sucks! best bet is boneyard willing to chop up cab, or what i might do is use soda blaster, or a GOOD rust converter then JB weld or other 2-part industrial epoxy spread on backside of panel, then sand excess off, i;m still researching solutions.... get back to me if you find something better. desertratt66@yahoo.com

I have a 64 chevy carryall same promblem maybe not as bad.cut out bad spots look around,meg weild some new pices in.on in side brushed on pro-15. if to much gone,find a used roof.not to hard to replace,just make certon it sets right.  

The best fix may be another cab that isn't rusted like that. Switching the cab would be a lot of work but would be doable at home with a factory shop manual and a couple buddies.  

Brothers Truck sales the whole roof. I replaced my roof on my truck with their panel. You don't have to do what I did you could just cut the section thats needed from the new roof panel. Just a thought.  

When did brothers start selling roofs? That makes life easier for a lot of you. I continually get inquiry's about what to do with a rusted roof.  

I can't tell you exactly when they started selling them, but I replaced my roof about a year ago. The charge it as an oversize item for shipping, but you guys in So. Cal can drive down there and pick it up, make sure you call first if you decide to drive down there because they did not have it in stock the first time I drove down and I have to make that trip twice.  

Over a year, man am I late.
