I would like to lower my C-20 truck using dropped spindles but am concerned about tire clearance. I currently have stock sized aluminum alloy  16x7 in. wheels, and have about 6" of clearance between the top of the tire and the fender liner. I'm concerned about tire rub during suspension travel. A C-20 has a pretty stiff suspension, but rub may still occur. The hood and fender design provides little room.

Chassis Tech offers a 3" dropped spindle for C-20, C-30, and C-35 series trucks with either bolt on or clip on calipers (these are for 8 lug wheels).

Has anyone made this change to a 64-66 truck?
