I HAVE A 1979 CHEVROLET C-10 TRUCK THAT IS ACTUALLY MY SON'S.  THE GAS GUAGE AND SPEEDOMETER BOTH BOUNCE.  IS THERE ANYONE THAT CAN POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION ON HOW WE CAN FIX THIS.

Well here is my 1 1/2 cents worth. But it may help, The thing is. I'm not sure whether the 79 came with a cable for the speedo. If they did it is common for the cable to run dry in the cable housing, cause it to stick and hence make the needle bounce, in severe cases the needles of the gauges close can bounce also due to the vibration. If it is electronic, it maybe a loose ground.
