I'm just getting into buying a 62 Ford with a 390 V8, C-6 truck.  I'm 22 y/o and I LOVE these classic 50's and 60's model trucks.  I'll be working on the truck and doing restoration.  I was looking for some general advice on this type of engine since I'm new to the classic truck scene.  If anyone has any advice on things to watch for in this type of engine, engine maintenence, modification ideas (cosmetic and mechanical) that would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the world of Slicks, my friend. I love all trucks, but I've a got a real weak spot for '61-66 Ford trucks, '65s in particular. The guys you need to meet are at www.fordtruk.com. Tell them I sent you and ask away!

P.S. I've written a ton of articles regarding those trucks on here, so just keep searching and good luck.
