1948 IHC KB5 Milk Truck

Hi, new to the forum. Just dragged home a really cool old 1948 KB 5 IHC milk truck w/no motor. Thinking street rod for swap meets (great parts hauler) and maybe promo vehicle for a business (can you say "deductible business expense"?).
Just in planning stages and thought I'd pick the forum members vast experience. Thinking updated front suspension and V8 motor/auto trans combo.
Any thoughts on donor front suspension and motor/trans combos? Has somebody been down this road? KB 5 appears to be same body as all K and KB 1 thru 5. This is my first IHC. Any good IHC truck parts websites, salvage yards? Have parts book and service manual. Wouldn't start a project without them.
