We Want Header Tech Article, We Want Header Tech Article. I don't believe I have over looked the imfamous Header Tech Article, I've been whining about all these long months. I would be willing to bet, ALOT, on the fact that loads of my truck crazy partners out there in real world land are just as anxious for a header tech and buyers guide story as I have been, so when might we be able to expect that little gem?

Thanx KKB

Did you miss me? I can't finish the truck unless I know which headers to use C'mon now. And if we have to start all over I'm gunna gut the truck and re-build the Chevelle. Better yet buy my Chevelle and I can afford to get any 'ol headers and replace them later. Ha! Naw been a tuff year and I'm dying to get my truck goin.

Hey bro, sorry to have left you alone with Johnny, been a rotten year. Can't finish the truck without headers. Also need an aluminum driveline and custom tranny lines. And don't worry I have a firm handle on the female situation. Hey find a buyer for my Chevelle so I have the funds to get my truck on the road. How you been?

Your right my friend, maybe I approached this all wrong, how about this; Is there anyone out there in classic truck land that has installed a set of headers that seemed to fit and perform in an acceptational manner that you would like to share with those of us that could benefit from your experience like; clearence of spark plugs, ground clearence, oil filter, motor mount clearences, etc? It would be greatly appreciated. And maybe, just maybe, a magazine out there will attack the actual performance and technical info. for those of us who really want to know.

I did buy Patriot Clippster headers , There not full length like you want. They are very cool headers. I had them jet hot coated and polished. The clear the plugs and starter better then any headers I've installed in the past. Mike

Well look who came out of the woodwork. You need to knock down the galvanised fence and use it to weld yourself up some custom headers (PS. don't suck in the fumes from the gal it may cause you to grow an extra leg. If you got any left use it to put a draw bar on that trailer. If that doesn't tickle your fantasy, the U-bends under the sink make a great header, the advantage is you don't have to weld them, they all screw together. Now if you incorperate the sink plug mechanism you can have a great header by-pass , just drill a little hole in the floor and stick the rod through it so you can manually by-pass the exhaust.
Another great tip from thespecialist, feel free to contact me on more outback rodding ideas, it is a pleasure to help you Northern California country lads. Now get back in your hole and get that truck done, I want to go fishing and I don't care how fast I get there.

Thanks for the info Mike. Don't those come coated already? I realy do need the long tube style though, especially to move that truck as opposed to the Chevelle it started in.

The headers come raw or coated.  I like the way car craft in riverside coats the headers. Is anyone else bothered by the remarks made by the ( EXPERTS ) here ? Mike

Earth to KKB, earth to KKB, come in. Have you given up on those headers yet and taken my advise and bent up the fence posts. Your going to beat yourself to death with those pipes. Sell the Chevelle and get them custom made or send me the pattern so I can bend you some. The weather is perfect here in Southern California, bring your boat we can go fishing in the streets, If you start with the boat from the grapevine you can get all the way to Newport beach without touching the ground.
PS Don't bring the outboard it will get stuck in the mud.
