This is my first post. I have a C-10 with the inline 6 cylinder engine that is three speed on the column. I want to swap out the three speed to an automatic transmission. I have a 65 automatic steering column to put in the truck and also a powerglide tranny. Will the 6 cylinder engine mate up to a powerglide tranny? All I need is the automatic shifter linkage, if it will mate up. Let me know, thanks!

Yes it should bolt right in, Chevy parts are by far the easiest for interchanging. You will probably need to move or replace the rear crossmember to fit the automatic. Check CPP for inexpensive and strong bolt in crossmembers. Don't forget a internal balanced flexplate to mate to the back of your straight six.

I've owned both a 230 and 292 six they are bullet proof motors, they also made a 250 cubic in. in this same series.
