Hi guys, I found a 1936 Dodge pickup 4x4 that runs but is need of restoration. The woman selling the truck claims that it is original. I looked it over really good and it does not appear to be a conversion but in my research I have not yet been able to find on that is 4 wheel drive. Can anyone tell me if there was such a thing? Thanks

Sounds like a Dodge Powerwagon. I have production numbers at the office I'll look it up.

The first Dodge 4x4 pickup was offered in 1934. The truck you are looking at is probably very rare, which doesn't mean its worth a lot of money, just rare. The Power Wagon name didn't surface until 1946. To answer your question, yes they did exist.

Thanks for the info. The woman selling it is the mother of a freind and is moving out of state and just wants to get rid of it. I think I can get it pretty cheep.
