i recently purchesed a 46 dodge truck and am going to restore it as my winter project.I want to make it street rod. i have many questions and just want to know some the ways to do it.I am playing on using the orignal frame and just putting in a seventys mopar front end in it and putting in a 8 3/4 rear having it cut down. I am also going to stay true to dodge and put in either 318 or 383, i think lol who knows maybe a 440. it seems like everyone uses s10 frames and chevy motors but i want it to be complety dodge. so if anyone has any ideas or pics or tips please let me know i gettin ready to start

Here is the best I think. I have a friend who is doing a 87 New Yourker and puting the front and rear in a 50 chev pickup. its just the right width. Plus the front is ajustable torsionbar. The other option would be Dakoda subframe and rear end. Eather one has 318 V8'S in them. Check with fatman I think they may have Vidioes and paterns.

If you want to stay Dodge then consider a Volarie/Cordoba frt end.Years ago Gibbons made a kit for this conversion and works well.If you search you will find info on this.ebay is another place you may find parts and info. Also can't go wrong with Dakota parts. Mike
