All is quiet on the thanksgiving front, the truck project has been pushed aside for the 'All you can eat' TURKEY dinner. After engulfing as much turkey breast and stuffing as I can find I should be ready for the new projects at hand. With that much food I probably can survive the rest of December until Christmas and not come out of the garage. Oh yeh, could you fill the garage fridge with beer. Project one, the Right hand drive 58 Chevy Short bed.Well it already has the Camero front, guess I better get ride of that steering box and mount up that Cadi box on the other side ( no I am not going to rack 'n' pinion this one)(SShh , don't tell the aussie's). Whoops got to go the turkey is catching up.

Yep, I'm back again, since nobody is around I better reply to my own post. Now where was I. Oh yeh the RHD truck.Next I'll have to drop the front with some spindals, since the person who put it on didn't allow for the drop when the front was welded on. Then again I may Airbag it. Anyway, time to butcher the dash, since God didn;t make them that way, opps hang on yes he did. Oh well not in California anyway.Better mount the shifter on my left side since man was meant to shift with his left hand. Oh yeah the foot pedals are in the same arrange for those that think you excelerate and brake with you left foot, HO HO, Yes that is right the world series includes everyone out side the US,Just joking I love you guys. Whoops the turkey is back

Guess I'm hogging my own thread since the big boy is away. Anyway Happy thanks giving guys, you better hurry up and get back and stop me hijacking the threads. Well the next stage of the project ( maybe I should have a column in the magazine to shut me up) Next the wiring then the hand brake and don't forget the brake lines, booster, excelerator cable, and all the necessary bracketery to mount the entire swap over. When your finished just look up and adjust your revision mirror to the right. That should be enough to freak you out and to make it worse get yourself onto those 5 lane freeways and enjoy the E-Ticket ride

Glad you all had a good turkey day. I had a good day going then got a call from a friend of whos truck I tuned and serviced on Monday and He was broke on the freeway & had roadside service tow it to Kragens (which was open in Merced), so I loaded up my Barbie car and had to replace his altinator which started dying (I hear) the night before, but he drove it anyway (meathead)! So instead stopped at local watering hole and made a Big Event outta the day, so all in all the day turned out cool. And TSpecialist, leave the highjackin to the Pro's

Hey KKB, is that Chevy of yours a shortbed. I've had a few over the years. I have a Right hand drive cab down with me in Orange County. I'm looking for a shortbed 71/72 so I can build a Cheyenne.
