Thats why they call me the web master. But lets get down to business. To get an avatar for any of our site you must first go to update account under User Tools and scroll down to where is says Avatar.
To get an avatar to appear you must copy a url for the image you want."example: http://images.customclassictrucks.com/featuredvehicles/0811cct_01_s+1956_ford_f100+front_view.jpg"
Once you copy and paste the url into the box where it says "get image" click on the "get image" button and the image will upload. All you need to do is save your settings and your done.

To make a custom avatar I would create a Flickr account and upload the custom image you want and save everything. Click on the image you want and copy the url and follow the instructions above and you should be good.
If you have any problems please let me know and I will try to help you out. Good luck everyone.

In my world I click start button, click pictures, all my albums come up I pick one, I scroll through them till I find the one I want, click on it, click file, click open and there it is. And none of all that has, http: (anything). Can you get me where I need to be to find all that http & what not?? I did find (C:\Users\owner\Pictures\5-25-2008\DSC00186JPG). Tx for the help. Why couldn't you make yours work like most all other sites, where you click on Brouser and it takes you right to your pictures? Had to ask, cuz someone woulda. Specialist, did you get that? KKB

UPDATE; After squirreling around with pic's I figured it out, problem is all my pic's are html format (what ever that is). Is tere a way to change the format or how it's transfered from camera to computer? Using an hp Photosmart All-in-one printer, scanner, copier. I only have the one camera (Sony Cyber-shot). Tx KKB

PM ??? As I said "really not up on computer lingo. I trying (private message button)" And no info on who to begin. I'm confused I have the pic in my truck pics, yet those pics wont work for avatars. So I really did a pre-school step-by-step walk through, mostly wher to go & what is the very first thing I need to do the start. Tx KKB

Thank you sir. That one is fine. Well took another two steps backwards yesterday, Installed the radiator with an electric fan set up & fan hits water pump nose (amazing) so now I have to move engine & trans back towards the rear using the back motor mount holes. I know in the long run it's the right choice, having the weight as far back as it can be, just have to shorten driveline. Oh well guess I could use a new set of u-joints too.

First off: Hey Mike thanks a lot for helping KKB with this overcomplicated avatar stuff. I know its easy for you young fellers, but for us old guys these computers are just a damn toaster with no holes for the bread to go in.
Next topic: Holy crap you're going to stuff the M&T back to clear the fan? I agree with the weight bias idea, but are you sure?

I was shocked myself when the electric fan was touching the water pump nose, I'm running a long water pump (because the pully configuration is much more stable & stronger than the short so it won't throw belts or squeal) and I have an aluminum nose cone on pump, which I can remove for clearence, but after looking at the whole picture, I find that after I installed the motor mount towers onto the frame & cross member (to allow for modern style engine mounts), I have close to 4-5 inches of space between the distributor & the firewall, so I can remove the nose cone & even modify the core support, but no matter what the drive train needs to go back to the rear motor mount tower holes. That will bring it all back approx. 2 1/2 inches. Remember I swapped out the 402 engine and upgraded the radiator to a 4 core desert cooler unit. And amen on the computer yea-hoo! (tx mike), till next time KKB.

I'm with you there on the computer, Kingkongbob, the way you discribed the transfer of photos is the way I am used to doing it. I'll guess I'll have to sit down one day and work it out myself so I can transfer some photos myself. Should make the Threads more interesting since I am a THREAD HOG ( hey that is funny , get it THREAD HOG, HEDGE HOG, oh well I'll go back to my hole, heh I did it again, get it HOLE, HEDGE HOG,HOLE............then again; do they live in a hole.............
