Good question Parts, just to let you know that sometimes a 5-3/4 bolt pattern can limit your wheel selection depending on which company you go with. As for the axle swap does anyone have an answer.

Did you check with GM and see if they had any info on axel length's? How about some of the adds in the books that specialize in rear ends give them a call. Get yours redrilled that would be the cheepest. The best would be to change the hole rear for a early GM like a nova it would give you higher gears, truck gears are low. Seems like a lot of trouble to run the wheels you want. From another old fart.

Hey Curtis, Thanks for jumping on here, and helping out. I felt bad that Parts was getting frustrated about getting help, but there's sometimes when a guy wants to do something that I think is kind of goofy, I stay out of it.
Thanks again,

I forgot about the front spindles you are going yo have to redrill them or find a CO. that will do it for you. One thing you shouls check all the option before you buy. You just might want to change your mind. Welcome John. I to was not going to answer until his second plea came. Everyone gets a goffy notion at one time or another. I just felt guilty and had to reply.

YOU NOT GOFFY. Just some times there is some realy goffy ideas that come through here. You should have said that about the VET wheels up front you would have had a quiker reply. Anyway check with Curier or Strange or there is some other axel CO's. adds in like HOTROD or TRUCKEN. Mabe even NAPA. Someone should know the mesurements.

Hey Parts! youmay have been building cars and trucks for a long time, but I guess you never learned to read between the lines. These other guys gave you the right advice. Redrill what you have. Move on with the rest of your project. From another old guy.
