I'm building a '62 GMC/Chevy resto-rod. Chassis is Chevy, Cab is GMC.
It's getting a 350 small block with a 6-speed manual transmission. I'm looking for a set of headers that will fit with a manual transmission. Everything I have looked at says automatic only.
If anybody can point me in the direction of someone who sells headers for manual transmission, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Call Hooker headers, or Hedman and ask for help.

Not everything is off the shelf with an exact application described on the package. Any set of short block-hugger type headers will work with a 6-speed, 3-speed, 4-speed compound, 3-speed with overdrive in your '62. Clearing the clutch pedal linkage is a cinch.
We are building hot-rod trucks here, and inventivness is an essential part of the deal.

I get a real kick out of some of these people that say this or that won't work on anything but what is printed on the box. Half of them wouldn't make a pimple on a partsmans a##. If you have figured out how to put this set-up in your truck, then why do the headers have you stymied. C'mon dude! Like John said, we're building HotRod pickups here, not stockers. A parts person in an automotive parts chain store in California tried to tell me that a water pump for a 230cu.in. chevy six wouldn't work on a 302 small block Ford, until I showed it to him in person. A little creativity goes a long way when building stuff other than stock.

Thanks for the info John. I didn't want tp spend $400-500 for a set of headers that wouldn't work.
