I have a 55 3800 truck that I am in the middle of restoring. My sons are helping me with this and they brought up a great point! Where are we going to get repacement parts. Are the 3100 and 3600 the same cab as the 3800 and if not where can we find parts? Mainly looking for cab parts, window trim ansd glass and misc. items like this.
Thanks Chuck and his boys

i have a 55 3800 that im also rebuilding and for your information. all the cabs and fenders and grills' are the same. the frame and suspension is made of thicker metal and has a slight curve increase over the front axle. also i think they reinforced the stearing arms' on 1tons. or atleast on mine there is. axles are interchangable but 1 tons have better brakes and or longer bolts for dual wheels. ive heard of 3/4 ton's with duals but i havent seen it yet. the frame should have a stamp on the top of the cross member and transmission member as well as outside of frame rails above front tires with the it looks like this (S) i havent figured out what the S means but ive only seen it on 1tons. as for the other differences its mainly Emblem Based. i have 3 sets of 3800 emblems but i havent found a company that sells them yet.
Thats all i know. Thanks chris. of tacoma wa.

Thanks for the additional info, and that kind of sucks that no one is replicating emblems for 3800's.

Don't suppose you'd want to sell a passenger side spear?
