HELP!!! I currnetly building a Model A Ford with a full hood and I cannot seem to find myself a custom bracket for sale online to mount a chevy alternator onto my small block ford. It is a 351 Windsor and I am using a alternator off a 350 chevy. I have clearance problems and must mount the alternator on the top of the engine. I see brackets to mount on the lower side (by fuel pump) but it must be up top. NOT looking for a billet peice, just plain-jane... CAN ANYONE HELP!?!?

That's something you are going to have to custom fabricate. No one is going to make bracket kits to put Chevy stuff on a Ford motor... at least I would hope not. I'm sure you will find kits to run those itty-bitty alternators from Toyotas on just about any engine out there advertised in Street Rodder.

I use a bracket from an '80s full size bronco on my 351w . pasenger side, the one for th a/c and smog pump. I put the alt up in the top position, you will have to make a spacer for the thru-bolt . I use an adjuster with hiem joints to for the belt tensioner . If you need more info , let me know. Hope this helps, Gary
