I have a 1951 Chevy pickup with a 350-350 ,edelbrock carb, manifold, mallory unilite dist. pretty standard stuff. The problem I'm having is the truck stalls all the time sometimes 4-5 times in a row. It always starts right back up no problem. I have replaced the carb, spark plugs and wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, nothing seems to help, actually I think it got worse. This problem also decided to go away for around 6-12 months and then came back. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Marty

Marty,
It sounds like its your unilite module. Here is a link to copy and paste to test module out. http://www.malloryperformance.com/pdf/UniliteTest.pdf
Make sure the brown wire off the distributor is connected to engine block ground, not an aluminum intake manifold, must be to the block.
Let us know what you find.

Hey Paul, thanks a lot for jumping on here and helping Marty out. I knew there had to be someone out there that could give a more specific answer than I could off the top of my head.

Thanks for your help. I will try the tests. That's funny though that is the first thing I suspected and called my local speed shop National Performance Center, and the guy told me that wasn't the problem. He said they either go out or work, no in between. So I went in other directions. I should have learned by now not to trust people without at least a second opinion. Thanks again. I hope thats it, it's really been driving me crazy.
