Hello There, I am new to this forum but not to the magizine. Bought a 63 Chevy and I am at the point to start thinking about a new front suspension with disc brakes, ect. Any tips or ideas would be appriciated. I have a 95 caprice police car, could that fron suspneion bolt on without much fabrication????

Here's the hottest tip on a front suspension for your 63 that you're probably gonna get. The front suspension from any later model truck up to 1987 will bolt right under your frame with no other modification than drilling one hole on each side, and that's not even a necessity, for that matter. There are companys out there that sell an adapter kit to put a power steering gearbox on your chassis. Another PieceOfCake job. It doesn't get any easier or econimicaly cheaper than that. Been there and done it on a shoestring budget... The motor&trans combo from the police car would serve well as a powertrain swap, but forget the suspension from it. Good Luck. Keep us posted on the swap.
