Hey guys, I would like to know what kind of car would be a good candidate to use for a front sub frame on my 51 chevy.  I have an 87 monte carlo that I had planned on using for the 51 project but at a local show this weekend I was told that the monte wouldn't work.  If this is true, any suggestions would b greatly appreciated so I can get the ball rolling on my project.  

Don't buy a Yugo either, they won't work for sure. Okay sorry, that's not funny. We've covered this before, keep digging there's a bunch of good info archived on this subject. Good luck!
