Purchased R&B chassis several months back(awaiting retirement). Started project, ran into problem with spindle(seems not tooled enough to accept brake caliper) not a problem, Grind it out! Now appears top hat bracket(A-Arm Bolts to) is offset, not allowing proper clearance. I realize at this time there is no weight on the front-end and I`ll go ahead with engine install and get it down to ride height. Hopefully this problem will take care of itself. Question is, Has anyone got any input on R&B`s setup and if so, did you run into this or is this an isolated occurance? Thanks, Jeff

You know, I bought the same chassis 18 months ago and did not have the spindle problem. I did notice the A-arm issue but was reassured by RBs and a local body shop that the weight of the body and engine should take care of it. I had a problem with the SSBC calipers. The spacers were wrong and I was told to use washers to make the proper size spacer...
BTW, in case you didn't know, RBs is now out of business. Yeah, right after they took my $5K for parts and never ordered/sent them. My credit card company is dealing with the issue.
The reason I say that is I need to order a fuel sender for the fuel tank that came with the chassis (carb-side fill) and want to make sure I get the right one. Any suggestions?
www.burrtech.net/truck is my website
Thanks, Mike

I purchased a chassis from RB's a couple of years ago. I have swapped dropped spindles for regular spindles and in the process the boots on the ball joints are damaged. I want to replace them but have no idea as to what type they are. It seems the upper is a Chrysler and the bottom is a GM, but I have no specific years to identify. Can anyone help?
I spoke today with a person from Kimbridge Enterprises who, evidently, manufactured the chassis for RB's, but they were supplied the ball joints and are awaiting crossover reference numbers for the chassis. They can supply or manufacture the chassis, if you need help. The number is 425 487 0763 and are located in the Sate of Washington.

I bought a rear suspension from them and every piece in the kit needed modification and half the instructions had incorrect measurements or reference points. They put me in toch with the guy who designed and manufactured the kit-somewhere in Oregon? or Wasyhington. I'm tryin' to find his number or name? Let ya' know. Ray

I can see why RB's went out of business's with practices like that.
