Anyone else going to the foodlion autofair in concord? I thought I saw a thread on this around here somewhere, but Ive lost it. The Antique Auto Club of America will have their national meet on Saturday. Should make for some great pics for CCT if anyone from staff is planning on being there.

Hey XS,

There's no Food Lion in Concord, California so where are you talking about? I'm not dumb I know Food Lions are in the southern states, but man you gotta be more specific. We've got guys in England, and all over the place reading this stuff.

That said, man I'd love to see some coverage of Food Lion's Auto Fair. So if you shoot a ton of digital photos, maybe I can get them posted on here as an event. Gotta have a lot of trucks in them, and anything else that looks interesting.

Since the Internet is free, everyone is expected to work for free. That includes the magazine editor, we don't get a penny extra for any exclusive content, or anything else that we do on here. So, what this means is I get to pass the savings on to you guys and expect you to generate some free content for us. That said, if you are still up to it please shoot the Food Lion Auto Fair in NC (what a great state for old trucks!) and then burn it on a disc.

Thanks, talk to you later.

That would be great, I'll find something neat to send you for your trouble. What kind of truck do you have, maybe I can mooch something from one of our advertisers and ship it to you.

I'm under the gun to finish the June issue of CCT, so I didn't have a chance to check out the photos that you linked (because the links didn't work). I don't know why your links didn't work maybe Lewis, can knows the trick to make them work like on most websites.

email me at john.gilbert@sourceinterlink.com if you have any questions.

Thanks again!

Well, I didnt get as much time at the show today as I wanted to. Im not 100% sure but I may sneak back tomorrow.

Heres a link to the slideshow of some of the trucks that were there: Click

Please bare in mind that Im not the worlds best photographer, nor were my skills in any way assisted by the dreary weather we were having. Enjoy

Hey, who's going to complain about free photography?
I appreciate you taking the trouble bring us this coverage.

The overcast weather didn't hurt, it made the light even. Don't crop your photos quite so tight, and you will get the complete image of the truck. Also if want to create more interesting photos, shoot low (on knees) shoot high ( from a ladder or climb into a truck bed) and shoot verticals (hold camera sideways).

Thanks again!

Thanks for the advice. I enjoyed photographing everything. In fact, I actually took a second day off and went back lol. I was busy yesterday morning and didnt get as  much time as I would have liked, so I made more time today.

I ended up with a few more pics too Slide show 2

Youll see a dodge extended cab in there with a CCT sticker on it. I couldnt find the owner, but I wondered who it was. I thought it would be funny if it ended up being someone who was on these message boards.

TNCHEV, Is always in the green field. If you want something brought, let me know. Sorry, no frames, cabs or beds, I don't have room, unless you rent the trailer. If anyone has not been to this swapmeet, it is a must. My spots are LG+MG 51+52, green field. I have been doing the show in both Sept. and April for 7 years now, so if you have any questions let me know. This show is all automotive, not a flea market like Carlisle, Pa.  tnchev@yahoo.com
