That is the question! I had an 86 jaguar xj6 ifs put on my truck about 13 years ago and now it needs to be rebuilt. Or, should i go with the mustang II? The Mustang II would cost me less in parts than rebuilding the Jag, and probably a smoother ride, etc..The cost factor comes from the installation of the IFS.
Also, can anyone recommend a good shop in so. cal. to install it?
Thanks!

How about Jimmy Shine over at So-Cal Speed Shop in Pomona. I'm sure you would get a quality installation done there if they did it. They do some mighty fine work there.

Yea, but at what cost? I live in santa clarita and there are a few shops here, but the most reputable would be Tri-C Engineering. They want about 3K, plus 2K for the IFS kit, but i guess that price is pretty typical. I could get the kit for about 1800 delivered and do it myself, but i would rather have a professional do it.

Crusty D,
Get a hold of KA Custom in Huntington Beach, and talk to Kevin about installing a TCI on your truck. You can tell him John at CCT sent you.

i;m currious why u think rebuilding the jag front is going to b expensive, rearends can b, but the front is quite cheap, our pricing down here is generally dearer than the states but a rack is only $400, discs $100 ea, rebuilt calipers (4 spot)$180 ea, tie rod ends $35ea, top bushing $5ea, bottom $30 ea, stub axles $100ea ap,bearing seals etc not much, then it's also much cheaper to replace these parts than buying and installing a complete new front end, unless u have an excess money problem cya gary

I did the math, rebuilding everything and the costs are the same for the front ends (about $1500). The difference is I have the Jag currently installed, but the Mustang II would be an extra $300 that I don't have.

Okay a Tri-Five Chevy. Since the Jag is already in place my next question is do you like it? Does it handle well (idicates it was installed properly) tires wear good? And the last do you know for sure it is completly shot, or can you get by replacing only the parts that need to be.
