I recently purchased a basket case '50 five window for my soon to be driving 16 year old daughter. I have completely disassembled truck down to frame and clipped with '78 Camaro. Caster and camber now concern me but I should be able to fix all with 4-Link on the way from Brothers. Drive train is '92 Chevy truck "throttle body" with 700-R. Does anyone have a clue what I will need by way of wiring harness? My main concern is the tranny shifting into OD... Thanks gentlemen.

There's probably more out there, but the best companies that I know of to check with would be Howell, Painless Performance, or American Autowire. The guys at Brother's deal with this kind of stuff, did you ask them about it?
That '92 truck motor and trans is a great way to go by the way. You will... er, uh, your daughter will like it.

I am jealous that your daughter will be driving it I got the old Old Navy 5 window and I wanted to fix it up for my son(soon to be driving) instead he wants my '98 Ford supercab. He thinks it's cool because Ted Nugent wrecked it on a hunting trip and we never fixed the damage. But my dad would have only had to ask me once.

I just put an 18 circuit harness in my 55 truck, painless makes a great harness. Only beef I have is the turn signal is too quiet...I can barely hear if the turn signal is on, even at idle. Just a thought, but I recommend the higher circuit harness, so even if you dont have power windows, door locks, ect right now, at least the vehicle will be wired and ready for electrical upgrades in the future.
