I have recently started to customize my 1955 Ford F100 and i have some really great ideas but don't have the knowledge to do it. for example i would really like to do a power steering conversion. How realistic is this to do? And if i can what will i need to do it with? Also what steps should i take to prep the truck for this change? if any one can give me a tip or a person who i could talk to about this it would really help me out.

Power-steering is very do-able. What engine you have will make a little difference because of pump mounting. Call Classic Performance Products at 800-830-0952 they have a Toytoa style conversion kit. Ditto for disc brakes call CPP.

I have contacted CPP regarding the power steering conversion and they could not give any advice on mounting a GM pump or the drive pulley set-up. Has anyone actually done this? If so please contact me. THANKS!
