I am trying to upgrade the steering column in a 72 Chevy Blazer to a 86 Blazer tilt column with the key on the column and automatic transmission. It will take modifying the support system under the instrument panel. Is this a practical thing to do and if so how do you recommend doing it. I already installed the 700R4 transmission and 208 transfer case.

You will need to make new brackets. No big-deal, that's what customizing a classic truck is all about. Take time to think out what you need to do, and get busy!

I am going to upgrade the automatic transmission in my 72 Chevy Blazer to the 700R4 transmission and 205 transfer case. Could you tell me what it will take to do this, and how do you recommend doing it.
