the onlt way i found out about this magazine was through a subscribtion card in rod & custom magazine. i've tried to look for weeks who sells CCT, but there is no one in my area. I wanted to get a sample copy, but that was like pullin teeth, needless to say i did not sucseed. All they wanted to do is sell me a subscrition.

A subscription is good way to go. The cost of paper, printing, and postage are all going up. This would be good time to lock in a couple of years at this price. If you guys have some favorite magazines I'd subscribe now, because the price will be going up.

The only copies I have ever seen, my wife bought at Walmart. She would buy them for me whenever we had to go somewhere that she knew I was going to have to sit and wait. The, a couple weeks ago she told me that she hasn't been able to find them for the last 6 months or so. In the interim, she has been buying other mags that were just not hitting the mark for me. She knew that I was getting ready to work on my 49 Old Navy Truck and recently ordered the subscription for my birthday. I can't wait to start getting them again!

Yeah it's sad, but true, our company has cut down on the number of places that you find Custom Classic Trucks on the newsstand. You are not the first person to tell us that their Wal-Mart doesn't carry it anymore. On the bright side it is way cheaper to subscribe, the only disadvantage is you won't get the CCT calendar or some of the other newsstand specials. Subscribe now though, because trust me, subscription prices for all magazines are going to cost a lot more in the very near future.
And tell your wife thanks, because it's job security for the crew at CCT.

It takes 6-weeks to get a subscription rolling. If it starts to take longer give the folks at our subs office a call and find out what the haps are?
Let me know how it goes, I'll send you a copy if it takes too long.
Thanks, John

Hey Mike, I was surprised that we are selling larger numbers in Wal-Mart than Automobile because those guys are producing a big-time magazine with in-depth stories, written, and photographed by the some of the best motor-journalists in the biz. On top of all of this Automobile has to be printing a ton more copies every month than CCT... That's the part that really stuns me. All I can say is thank you very much to the folks that buy CCT in Wal-Mart, and in the Bookstores like Borders as well.

There's nothing better for goin over the road like a case of Starbucks Double-Shots and a copy of CCT. Not that I'm telling folks to read and drive.

The few I've bought have mostly come from Wally World, the idiot kids at Borders either hide'm behind the rice burner mags or don't put enough out, Wally's always has at least one left. I like the mag alright I just wish there was more to it. The last one I picked up was mighty thin and had all the same ads as the last one I bought a year before. I wish one of these magazines would do a encyclopedia of all their builds and give the measurements and nuts and bolts stuff that gets left out of the magazine. At least do a book once a year with all the behind the scenes stuff that gets left out, it could even be on DVD/CD to save printing cost, although it would make a great coffee table book, like my History of the GMC or Harley Davidson books !!!
