I had a brake hose go in my 1956 GMC ½ ton “Frances” a couple of weeks ago.

I went to the LMC Truck website and ordered 2 new front brake lines part Number 34-4402 on the 13th of June. So the lines get to me on the 19th and I try to install them that Wed night the 20st but they don’t fit. The metal line just drops into the hole.

I call them up on Thursday a couple times and get no answer then I call Friday the 22nd and after calling a couple times I get hold of customer service and they tell me they will check their stock and get back to me in 48 hours. Nothing happens so I call again on the 26th and am told that they checked the order and the stock and I have the correct parts. So I tell the lady that I took pictures and they don’t fit so she says email the supervisor pamm@longmotor.net nothing! So I call again on the 28th and am told that Pam is not at her desk but will get the message.
Nothing!
What is wrong with these people? Don’t buy anything from them because their customer service is the worst. I still have the wrong lines….

I got an email late in the afternoon on the 4th of July from the Supervisor at LMC truck Pam.
She said: " am very sorry for the delay in an answer, I have been out of the office. Our warehouse is not working today but I will call them first thing in the morning to see if they will rush this for me."
Then she even did a follow up call on Thursday. I called them 3 tims and was never told that she was Out of the office only that she wasaway frm her desk.
SO we will see what happens and when I get the new lines.

I got the new brake lines yesterday evening they had shipped them overnight shipping. The new lines have a different part number.

It looks like most of the problem is because they are wrong in the catalog for the 1956 GMC 1/2 ton. The correct number is 34-4401 I would like to know if this is the same line that is on the Chevy trucks.

SO.. When LMC truck found out that that I really did have the wrong parts they overnighted the correct ones to me. I'm happy that "Frances" will be back on the road shortly.
