I wanted to do the same Mod,.. I was looking to use the REAR DOOR HINGES ( barn door style )from a 67-72 Chevy Suburb,... Only problem was the doors were too narrow. Second I would suggest is to find a 63-69 Chevy Capric station wagon. They had the two way tail gate,..
better yet the 66 CCW, have the disappearing tailgate... would be awesome..
