I'm new to this, but it's for a worthy cause.
My husband has a 69 Chevy truck that has been more go than show, but we are working on changing that. I am wanting to surprise him for Christmas with a newly upholstered bench seat. I've been told that a bench seat out of a 1978 - 1988 Chevy truck will fit, but I've also been told that all of the way up to 1998 will fit. Can you please share your wisdom and give a little advice????
THANK YOU ahead of time for all advice and input.

If it were me I'd get a hold of Glide Engineering or Tea's Design. In the long run it will be a lot less trouble and not cost much more than messing with a used seat that might or might not ***
If new is not an option, All these old trucks are pretty basic. Just about any bench seat ever made can be adapted to your husband's '69... The key word is adapted!
A friend of mine has a '68 Olds 98 bench seat in his '59 Chevy pickup.
Good luck,
John

Unbelievable, I just posted above using the word fit, and the robot that mans our website must have thought I said "sh**"
Hey Nick, can we get some smarter robots? I'm not going to participate in that blogging cr** until we do.

I've seen newer seat in the older trucks,so i think they'll bolt right up. You could call a salvage yard to be sure.
